I've said about half of this to a couple of you in game or elsewhere, so I'll lay this all out here for clarification.

I will not play LotRO (i.e. no questing, expacs, etc). I will not go through all the LI garbage or the gear grind or anything along those lines. I don't like LotRO anymore and won't put in that level of effort. I didn't like doing that when I did like LotRO.

However, I would be willing to have one of my characters leveled up to 100 in a sort of /follow in a dungeon run kind of way so you lot would have another person (kind of) at cap to run things with. I do have 1900 TP somehow so if I need to buy a content pack to do the "endgame" stuff you want, then I will. Sadly, I can't use them in DDO or anything so...nothing else to do with them. There are caveats though.
  1. I will not play my warden at all. They destroyed that class and it'll just make me mad to play it.
  2. I will not DPS on my guard. That just feels dirty.
  3. Like I said, I won't do the LI or gear grind. Whatever I get is whatever I get. If any LI I get has rubbish legacies then that's how it's staying.
  4. You're not going to get me to care, but you'll have me around to push buttons and maybe even use skills.
Here are your options. I have no particular preference.
  • 85 Guard tank (might not be a good idea given #3 above)
  • 85 LM
  • 85 Burg
  • 75 RK
  • 30-something hunter, captain, or mini
  • 20-something champ

If you do take me up on this, I would really appreciate it if more effort could be made to regularly join me in games that I would rather play too (instead of just when lotro is dead) or just tell me "no" once and for all. EDIT: That sounds more angsty than it is. What I mean is that I want to hang out with all you sixth house guys and would like to know if I'm just wasting my time trying to get you to like better games. :p

Deal with the champ or maybe guard or Mage.....

Nice of you to play a game that you no longer have interest in, that being said I would help you level up whichever toon but acc. to your list LM or burg or maybe RK seems like only viable options. Gear is easy to get half or most can be made or bought off AH. I have FAs symbols to make an LI (which u just eq. n use no need to put anything into it really.
As far as games go Lotro n Rift are only 2 I have interest in ATM. I bought my son GW2 which he no longer plays I may 1 day DL n try it out.

If you say so. I have no preference so I guess it's whatever you guys want/need. I have no idea how those classes have changed or what they can do anymore.

If you want my full opinion on GW2, you can ask. tl;dr version is it's ok, at best, but the first game is better.

Bought the area that has the new instances. It was on sale this week. You're welcome. Still have 1k+ TP.

Just wanted to point out the capabilities of LM healing. I don't know if it's good enough. I'm just going to explain it and you guys who know the instances better can judge.

LMs basically have 2 heals.
  1. Beacon of Hope: Direct heal, 30s cd. Used to be a more powerful heal than minis got (in terms of hp restored per power spent) but dunno about that anymore. The downside is the long cooldown. When traited in heals, there's also a small (area-wise) AoE HoT attached. Generally, you have to be in melee range of the target for the HoT to hit you too. The HoT is about half as potent as Water Lore's.
  2. Water Lore: Stackable HoT + 10% Incoming Heals buff, 10s cd. It will stack up to 3 times on any one person.

Used to be that "flank heals" (using Wizard's Fire on an enemy hit with the Flanked! debuff by your pet) would heal the LM and whoever had Air Lore on them. I don't know if that's still a thing, if it's in heals or pet line or whatever. It's not reliable anyway given that most pets will die to an elf's fart (dead pets can't flank, obviously) and the spirits can only apply flanked once/minute.

So yeah, basically, they're good at dealing with consistent damage through HoTs on ONE target rather than spike damage. If someone gets hit hard and Beacon of Hope is on cooldown (which it most likely will be), you're just out of luck. In AoE situations, you had better just hope that a stack of Water Lore on each party member will do. I guess they're supposed to make up the difference with debuffs...
